How I find the Time to Blog

I have a full time job. I work 5 days per week from 9am – 5pm. I also have a household to take care of. So, how in the hell do I find the time to blog?

Well, it’s not easy, I can tell you that. It looks easy though. Right?

I’ve always been interested in starting a blog. I read so many blogs and magazines on a daily basis, so I thought, why not? And I love fashion and I love taking pictures so it’s the perfect fit.

People think that blogging  just entails taking a bunch of pictures and that’s it. Well, it’s not sis.

The pictures have to be edited and you have to find topics to talk about. You have to find the right editing apps because not every editing app makes you look good or makes your content look appealing.

My Sundays are basically dedicated to creating content for the fashion part of my blog. Sometimes, I try to take multiple pictures of different fashion looks to post. I wake up, eat breakfast and from there I put on makeup and decide what to wear that day. Creating content on Sundays means that I don’t get much time to go out with friends and stuff like that.

Creating content takes a lot of time. What I try to do these days is write down a list of topics as they come, so that I have inspiration to write. I’m also trying to plan my looks from in the week before Sunday comes so I don’t have to stress.

The beauty part of my blog is probably the easiest part because I have a lot of beauty products.

I want to be a successful blogger and one day get paid to blog. In order to do that I have to put the time and effort into this.

Yes, I’m tired on Sundays and sometimes in the week, I just want to go to bed. But my mama taught me that anything worth having takes time and effort and sacrifice.

You have 24 hours in a day, why not use that time to develop that talent that you have, or that passion that you’re sitting on? Beyonce does it. Why can’t you too?.

Dressing Well, Why it’s Important

There’s this quote on the internet that says, “Dressing Well is A form of Good Manners”. I’m sure you’ve seen it on your friends Instagram or somewhere before. So what does it mean? Does it mean that, if you don’t dress well, you don’t have manners? Does it mean, that I should wear high heels and a long elegant dress to the supermarket? What does it all mean?.

Well, I think it means that if you’ve put the effort into dressing up or dressing your best, it shows a sign of respect to whoever you’re meeting or whoever crosses your path. Different occasions call for different types of dressing. If I’m going on a date, OF COURSE I’m going to dress up and put on makeup, especially, on a first date. Even if  I’m just meeting up with my best friend, I still dress up. Does that make me a narcissist? I don’t think so, it just means that I respect my friends enough to look my best when I’m around them. It means that I  put thought and effort into what I’m going to wear to see them because I care. And it also means that I love dressing up, LOL, anyone who knows me really well, knows this.

So why dress well then? What’s the purpose of it all?

It Promotes Self Respect – Putting the effort into how you dress shows self respect and self worth. When you dress well people will look at you differently. If I respect myself others will respect me.When I go into the office in a suit people are so polite and respectful. If I choose to wear sweatpants one day in the office people look at me differently.

First Impressions Count – Believe it or not they do. If you’re going to a job interview are you really going to wear that jeans shorts? Ok, maybe not jeans shorts, but are you really going to wear jeans and a T-shirt? What do you think your potential employer is going to think?

It Builds Self Confidence – There’s no questioning it. When you dress up, you feel good and that in turn makes you feel more confident. When you feel good on the outside there’s no question that you’ll feel good on the inside. This red dress that I’m wearing in my photos makes feel sexy and confident. No wonder I wear it so often.

It Draws the right Kind of Attention – When you dress well, you stand out from the crowd. Want the attention of that guy you’re crushing on? Girl, take off those sweatpants and put on some nice jeans girl.

This post is not about me judging people who wear sweatpants or don’t dress up. I believe, people should be comfortable, in their own skin, whatever that might be. Dressing well, means something differently for everyone. I might think that dressing well ,means putting on a nice blouse and jeans and to you, it might mean putting on sneakers and a sweatshirt. Again, no judgement here.

Does dressing well mean I have to wear heels everywhere I go? ( I wish I could wear heels everywhere I go). No it doesn’t mean wearing heels or a suit everywhere you go. There’s after all a time and a place for everything. Are you going to wear heels to go camping?.

Does it mean that I’m a narcissist for wanting to look nice?. No again, I just LOVE dressing up and I feel confident when I dress well.

Does it mean I don’t respect my friends if I go to their house in my head tie and sweater? No, it just means ya girl just can’t be bothered today.

Dressing well also doesn’t mean breaking the bank and buying overly expensive clothing. There’s affordable clothing that looks great as well.

I dress well because I respect myself, it makes me feel confident and I love clothes.
