Break The Rules- Wearing White In Winter

Winter is always reserved for dark colours. Blacks, dark reds, and greys, but if you want to make a statement why not wear white? And yes, there’s this rule that you can’t wear white after labour day, I don’t know who made this weird rule but forget the rules. Fashion is all about having fun and taking risks. Lets break the rules together!

Today, I want to show you how I wear white in winter in 2 ways.

The First Look – For this look I wore a white dress that I bought from Express.com this summer which I paired with a cream coloured Faux Fur Jacket that my best friend got me for my birthday. This Jacket is from Sirens and I absolutely love it. It’s so warm and cosy. The dress is really classy and the split at the front gives it a really sexy vibe. I wore my trusty black ankle boots to finish off the look. This is an elevated look that can be worn to church or to a fancy event. You can find similar faux fur  jackets Here. 2 The Second Look –  I wore tan coloured trousers and a white crop top, white sneakers and the same cream coloured faux fur jacket for this look. It was really relaxed and comfortable. I find that white always pairs well with tan or nude colours, so if you have a nude skirt, chances are that it will look great with a white shirt. You can shop similar trousers Here

I’ve never really worn white in winter or at all but now I’m just loving it. I’m tired of the same fashion rules. Try something different, whether it’s a small white piece or a full on white look. Will you make a statement this winter and stand out, or will you remain the same? As I always say, “You only live once”.

Break some fashion rules babes! I promise you won’t forget it! You can thank me later.

How to Incorporate Colour Into your Wardrobe

I don’t like wearing bright colours. Surprise! Haha, black is my favourite colour (Yes, I know black is a shade but I’d rather call it a colour, sue me). Recently though, I find that wearing bright  colours is sorta nice? It spices things up. It makes you stand out.  And I sorta kinda don’t completely hate the idea anymore. People change OK? Keep reading to find out how I incorporate colour into my wardrobe.….

It’s summer and I like to feel girly and airy. Summer is the time to definitely put your black and grey clothes in a suitcase  far away. I mean, I want to reflect feelings of joy and happiness so this summer especially, I wore a lot of yellows and reds. People definitely took notice. Here’s how you can do the same.

Wear a Bright Coloured Blazer – This blazer is about 2 years old. At first I didn’t want to purchase it but I was tired of wearing black all the time. The first time I wore it I got so many compliments. This can be worn as a dress or with trousers.

Get a different coloured purse from your Outfit – Girls, you don’t always have to match everything. Your dress doesn’t have to match your shoes and purse. Style is all about taking risks. So if you’re wearing a blue dress you can wear a yellow purse.

Try wearing bright Shades – I didn’t start getting into this trend until I saw Rihanna doing it in her wild thoughts music video. I was like “Yeah that looks so high fashion, let me go buy some pink shades”. I looked so bomb.

Throw on bright sandals – This perks up your everyday work wear. Aldo has a great collection of colours  for those days when you want to spice things up.

Yes, so those are some of the ways in which I incorporate colour into my wardrobe. Sometimes I feel weird because as I mentioned above I like wearing black but I figured that nothing great ever happened to anyone who stayed stuck in the comfort zone.
